About Us
My pride in the community I reside in is immense. I moved to Anoka County and in particular Lino Lakes with my wife Diane in 2007. I felt a strong connection and a genuine welcoming to a community I could barely call my home. We had a plan to “give back” and in 2013 I was appointed to the City of Lino Lakes Charter Commission. That same year, we made a decision to become legal guardians to three nieces who needed a place to call home. Diane and I found out very quickly that Anoka County was a great place to raise children. We still have one child at Centennial High School and she has found numerous activities to participate in, excel in and enrich her formative years.
I now feel the genuine need to give back to this community by serving the residents and community that has given so much to my family. I believe the opportunity to give more of my time, energy and life experience to Anoka County would be an incredible opportunity and I would serve with humility and honor.
There are challenges that every community will face. Balancing common-sense policies with its everyday issues is an important challenge. When and if I am elected, I will act as the voice for the same community that showed me so much respect. Anoka County has been lauded for its many successes, whether it’s our quality of life, waste recycling, businesses investing in our county, innovative foster care program or the county’s workforce training and enrichment programs. As the Commissioner in District 6, I will continue to work with the other Commissioners to focus on what has made our county well-respected but also work hard to find new workable solutions to our ever-changing society.
I would be honored to gain your support, as the next Anoka County Commissioner. I will be reaching out to our community over the summer and into the fall. I will be listening and understanding what your thoughts are regarding the issues we face. Please reach out to me here on this website or at craig4anokacounty@gmail.com with any questions or your offer of support to my campaign. Join me in striving to make our community better every single day and every year.
